Separate lawsuits were filed after a sulfuric acid leak at a Channelview facility released large amounts of acid into the ship channel in late Dec. 2025. Plaintiffs, including a tankerman and others exposed to the toxic cloud, allege the company failed to warn workers and properly contain the spill, resulting in injuries such as burning lungs and respiratory issues.
