A Bexar County nurse and hospital administrator has filed suit against orthopedic surgeon Dr. David L. Fox, Northeast Baptist Hospital and related entities following an alleged confrontation over a brief medication delay. Plaintiff Lilibeth Pena alleges Fox put his hand around her neck, forced her chin upward and shoved her into a PPE equipment cart after becoming angry over the delay. The lawsuit also alleges the hospital knew or should have known about prior complaints involving the surgeon and failed to take appropriate action. Pena seeks more than $1 million in damages.
