Texas woman joins lawsuit against University of Michigan and former football coach involving claims that personal information was illegally accessed

A Texas woman has joined a lawsuit against former University of Michigan football coach Matt Weiss, alleging he accessed personal data from student-athletes’ accounts. The suit claims Weiss hacked into databases containing private photos and videos, affecting athletes nationwide. The University of Michigan is also named for failing to protect the data.​
