Maisie Marsau, a 32-year-old mother, was left paralyzed from the neck down when a large oak tree fell on her SUV in Lakewood, Dallas. Marsau and her husband have filed a lawsuit claiming the homeowner, Dan Patterson, was repeatedly warned about the dangerous condition of his trees. Patterson, who has leadership roles in several tree-related organizations, has not yet responded to the suit. The couple seeks $1 million for medical expenses and care for their infant daughter. The case may move to settlement or trial depending on the response
