A former Texas Christian University student alleges the university mishandled her complaint of rape. The suit claims TCU did not act until the student hired a lawyer. The student contends the punishment given to the accused was too light (a short paper & watching consent videos), and that the response policy is systemically discriminatory under Title IX. She is seeking $100 million in damages and also requests institutional reforms (e.g. suspension or transcript notation of those found responsible; quicker investigations). TCU denies some of the characterizations, saying it did hold the student responsible and punished him.
